50/50 Challenge

Well done to our Year 5 & 6 pupils who took part in the 50/50 Challenge last term. They managed to raise £700 altogether which will go to the Roy Castle Lung Foundation. 

Wear Yellow for Children's Mental Health

On Thursday 13th February pupils are invited to come into school wearing yellow. This could be full yellow clothing or just a pop of yellow e.g. socks or headbands. They will then take part in a few mental health activities in class.

 

We ask that they bring in £1 which will be donated to a children’s mental health charity ‘Young Minds’.

Well done to all of the winners of our Christmas Hampers. Thank you to everyone that bought raffle tickets. 

 

And a big thank you to; Isabelle, Konnie, Sadie, Lexi and Arabella for selling the raffle tickets every day in the lead up to Christmas. 

Thank you to all of the families that attended our Christmas Morning on Saturday. We hope you had a lovely time. 

White Chapel Items- £122

Thank you to all the pupils that brought in £1 for Whitechapel on our last own clothes day. We raised £122 and with this we managed to buy; 2 pairs of trainers, 10 hats, 2 thermal hats, 20 pairs of socks, 10 pairs of gloves, 18 pieces of underwear, 6 thermal undershirts, leggings, 2 sweatshirts, a hoodie, 5 toothbrushes, 2 lots of dog food and a dog water bottle. 

 

These will all be delivered to the Whitechapel Centre after our next donation day on the 6th December. 

Christmas Cards

If you would like to order the Christmas Cards that your child designed, please visit www.apfsorder.co.uk using the unique code that can be found on the back of your child's art work. Orders must be placed by Tuesday 19th November. Your items should then be delivered to school around 2nd December. 

Own Clothes Day for the Whitechapel Centre

Thank you to all the pupils who brought in £1 for own clothes day- we raised a total of £122 which we will use to buy items to donate.

In the lead up to Christmas we will once again be supporting the White Chapel Centre.

 

On Thursday 24th October pupils are invited to come into school wearing their own clothes. We ask that they bring a £1 donation in which will be used to buy items for the centre.

 

Another donation day will be arranged for the beginning of December.

Well done to all of the pupils that made cakes, they were all incredible!

On Friday 18th October it was Key Stage 2's turn to bake their cakes for our bake off. There were once again so many amazing cakes and biscuits. 

 

£170 was raised in today's sale which will also go towards buying items for the Christmas Hampers and our Christmas Morning. Thank you to Minnie, Konnie, Fayruz, Jayadev and Maan for helping to sell the cakes. 

 

 

On Monday 14th October Key Stage 1 took part in the Great Holy Cross Bake Off. As you can see there were so many amazing cakes; the winners will be announced at the end of the week. 

 

Thank you to Lexi, Arabella, Bana and Sadie who helped to sell the cakes. We managed to raise £150 which will help us to buy all of the presents for our Christmas Hampers. 

The Great Holy Cross Bake Off

To celebrate National Baking Week, we will once again be holding the Great Holy Cross Bake Off. The pupils are invited to bring in homemade cakes on the following dates:

 

  • Monday 14th October- Early Years, Years 1 & 2 can bring in cakes. Whole school can bring in money to buy cakes.
  • Friday 18th October- Years 3-6 can bring in cakes. Whole school can bring in money to buy cakes.

We ask that if possible please send the cakes in on disposable plates or a clearly labelled container. If your child does not want to bake a cake they can bring in cakes from the shop however these will not be entered into the competition.

 

Please ensure that cakes contain no nuts.
