'Living, Loving, Learning Together'

EYFS

Welcome to the summer term in The Foundation Stage!

This term our topic is Jack and the Beanstalk!!!

We have really enjoyed reading the story of Jack and the Beanstalk and had lots of fun acting out the different parts. Next week, we will begin planting our own plants including sunflowers, beans and cress. We will be talking about what plants need to grow and survive. At the end of this half term the children will be able to take their plants home to look after them over half term. We are looking forward to finding out who's sunflower grows the tallest!!!!

Have you visited our fantastic supermarket?

The children have been super helpers, creating our supermarket role play area. We have labelled all of the food with price tags and been learning how to count money to pay for the items we want to buy. Everybody has enjoyed writing their own shopping lists! In the next few weeks we will be sending Blu Bear home with each child, we are hoping to see how many supermarkets he visits with you!!!

Please remember to read with your child everyday at home!!!

“Every child deserves the best possible start in life and the support that enables them to fulfil their potential. Children develop quickly in the early years and a child’s experiences between birth and age five have a major impact on their future life chances. A secure, safe and happy childhood is important in its own right. Good parenting and high quality early learning together provide the foundation children need to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow up.”
