Good Shepherd Appeal Fundraising

Fundraising for the Good Shepherd Appeal

As part of our Lenten journey and commitment to living out the values of our faith, the children took part in fundraising activities in support of the Good Shepherd Appeal, run by Nugent Care.

This important appeal helps raise vital funds for vulnerable children, families and adults across the Archdiocese of Liverpool.

Our pupils showed great compassion and creativity by organising a range of events, including sponsored walks, cake sales and class challenges.

Through their efforts, they not only raised money but also deepened their understanding of the importance of charity, service, and standing in solidarity with those in need.

We are incredibly proud of their generosity and commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.

Here's how each year group contributed:

  • EYFS – Took part in a colourful Odd Sock Day, celebrating uniqueness and raising awareness in a fun and engaging way.

  • Year 1 – Showed incredible patience and quiet strength during a Sponsored Silence, raising money through peaceful reflection.

  • Year 2 – Got active with a Sponsored Run, showing great energy and determination in support of others.

  • Year 3 – Brought lots of smiles with their creative Crazy Hair Day, raising funds while spreading joy.

  • Year 4 – Donated generously and expressed themselves during a fun-filled Own Clothes Day.

  • Year 5 – Organised two fantastic events: a Car Boot Sale, selling preloved items to raise funds, and a Sponsored Walk, showing commitment and teamwork.

  • Year 6 – Took the lead with two brilliant initiatives: a delicious Bake Sale offering homemade treats, and a lively Sponsored Sport Event that combined fun and fitness for a great cause.

We are incredibly proud of all the children for their creativity, compassion, and determination to make a difference. Together, they have helped support Nugent’s vital work and shown what it means to be a caring school community.
