'Living, Loving, Learning Together'
Ash Wednesday Service
To mark the beginning of Lent, our KS2 children gathered for a special Ash Wednesday service, led by pupils and staff.
Children reflected on the meaning of Lent as a time for prayer, repentance and renewal.
During the service, ashes were distributed as a sign of turning back to God and beginning a journey of spiritual growth.
The children took part reverently, offering prayers, readings and hymns that helped everyone present enter into the solemn and hopeful spirit of the season, and reflect on how we can be 'Pilgrims of Hope'.
The children were also given the opportunity to share their Lenten Promises during the service.
It was a beautiful and reflective moment in our school’s faith life, helping us to prepare our hearts for the joy of Easter.
