25th March 2021
Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you for your continued support in the fight against Coronavirus. From the 29th March we are going to see some further easing of Coronavirus restrictions as part of the gradual roadmap out of lockdown. From the 29th March:
Social contact – Rule of 6 but no mixing of households indoors
It is safer for people to meet outdoors rather than indoors. From 29th March, when schools start to break up for the Easter holidays, outdoor gatherings (including in private gardens) of either 6 people (the Rule of 6) or 2 households will also be allowed outside. Mixing of households indoors is still not permitted.
Travel
The ‘stay at home’ rule will end on 29th March but many restrictions will remain in place. People should continue to work from home where they can and minimise the number of journeys they make where possible, avoiding travel at the busiest times and routes.
Travel abroad will continue to be prohibited, other than for a small number of permitted reasons. Holidays abroad will not be allowed.
Testing
Secondary school pupils should continue to take home tests twice per week. If you’re a member of a household, childcare bubble or support bubble of a member of school staff or a pupil you can now access testing twice weekly. Further details can be found here: https://bit.ly/3cnmF5X
Testing is voluntary, but we strongly encourage people to access testing available to them.
It is still important that we continue to keep ourselves and others safe. Please continue to follow all Coronavirus prevention guidelines, maintain social distancing and wear face coverings wherever possible.
For a reminder about Coronavirus symptoms and how to get tested please see supplementary information.
Please stay safe and thank you for your continued support.
Yours Sincerely,
Matt Ashton

4th March 2021
Dear Parents and Carers
Thank you for your continued support in the fight against Coronavirus. Schools are working hard to welcome back children from 8th March 2021. Arrangements will vary slightly from school to school. Your school will be in touch with you through their normal methods of communication, for example by letter or the school website.
It is still important that we continue to keep ourselves and others safe. Please continue to follow all Coronavirus prevention guidelines, maintain social distancing and wear face coverings wherever possible.
School Testing
Upon return, secondary school aged children will be offered a series of three tests at their school under the supervision of a trained operator. Testing is voluntary, and consent must be provided for your child directly to the school.
Following on site testing, children may then continue taking twice-weekly tests using a home test kit provided by their school. You will receive further information about how to participate directly from your school.
Household testing
If you’re a member of a household, childcare bubble or support bubble of a member of school staff or a pupil you can now access testing twice weekly. Further details can be found here:
Testing is voluntary, but we strongly encourage people to access testing available to them.
For a reminder about Coronavirus symptoms and how to get tested please see page 2.
Please stay safe and thank you for your continued support.

2ND March 2021
Dear Parent/Carer,
I hope you and your loved ones are safe and well. We have missed having our whole school community together and we are very much looking forward to seeing you all next week.
You have been very understanding of the fact that these have been unprecedented times and extremely difficult circumstances for everyone, pupils, parents/carers, as well as staff themselves. Very little has changed on our risk assessment in line with Government guidance. Could we remind you of following points.
Y6 8.40am Exit Class Fire Exit 3pm
Y5 8.45am Exit leading onto infant playground 3.05pm
Y4 8.50am Exit Foyer door (please do not enter foyer) 3.10pm
Y3 8.55am Exit Class Fire Exit 3.15pm
Y1 8.45 am Exit Fire exit Infant playground 3.05pm
Y2 8.40am Exit Fire exit Infant playground 3.pm
Reception 8.50 Exit Fire exit Infant playground 3.10pm
Nursery 8.55 Exit Class Fire exit Infant playground 3.15pm
Please remember to respect social distancing rules with staff and wider community. We would also ask that members of the wider community respect one another by wearing masks in line with Government guidelines.
PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE NEW UNIFORMS NOW FOR CHILDREN. WE WILL CHANGE TO SUMMER UNIFORM AFTER EASTER HOLIDAYS
We have followed these arrangements very successfully since June 2020 as we
re introduced year groups back to school. I cannot praise the parents and carers enough for their full support, understanding and co operation throughout this time. You have all made this so much smoother for your children, as well as staff here at the school.
Again, I would point out that these are very exceptional circumstances which will require flexibility, patience and understanding on the part of both parents and school. As always, I am extremely grateful to you for your continued support and myself and all of the staff of Holy Cross look forward to seeing you all again next week.
Yours sincerely,
H.Bannon
