The Colour Monster by Anna Llenas
In Reception we have been talking and learning about feelings and emotions. We read the story 'The Colour Monster' by Anna Llenas together.
A small girl narrates the story and begins by introducing her friend the colour monster. The colour monster is feeling all mixed up and very confused. The girl explains that it is because his feelings (colours) are all 'stirred together.' Reception and the little girl help their friend to recognise and separate his feelings by putting each one in a jar so they can look at them together.
