Taking Care of Your Teeth

Teeth are important in many ways. If you take care of them, they'll help take care of you. Strong, healthy teeth help you chew the right foods to help you grow. They help you speak clearly. And yes, they help you look your best.

Class 4 were given the opportunity to ask students, studying to become dentists, questions about teeth. The children learnt lots about how to take very good care of your teeth.
To prevent gum disease:
  1. Brush your teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste.
  2. Floss once a day.
  3. Visit your dentist regularly for a checkup and cleaning.
  4. Eat a well-balanced diet.
  5. And for any adults who smoke. Quit smoking. Smoking increases your risk for gum disease.
