In Reception, children explore the world around them by observing and learning about seasonal changes. Autumn

This week, the children have been learning all about autumn! They explored the changing seasons, noticing falling leaves, shorter days, and cooler weather. They learned about animals getting ready for winter, such as squirrels collecting nuts and birds migrating. The children also linked their learning to harvest, Halloween, and Bonfire Night celebrations, talking about seasonal foods, traditions, and community events.

Winter 

This week, the children have been exploring winter! They enjoyed spending time outdoors, investigating ice and discovering how it melts. They also talked about ways to keep warm, practicing putting on hats, gloves, and scarves.
