Worship Warriors at Holy Cross

At Holy Cross Catholic Primary School, our Worship Warriors are a special group of children who help lead and support the prayer and liturgy life of our school.

Chosen from across the year groups, our Worship Warriors play a key role in helping everyone grow closer to God. They are role models of faith and help to make our school a place where prayer, reflection and Gospel values are at the heart of all we do.

Worship Warriors help by:

  • Planning and leading acts of prayer and liturgy in class and across the school

  • Setting up prayer tables, displays and sacred spaces around the school

  • Encouraging others to pray and reflect, especially during special seasons like Advent and Lent

  • Helping to organise liturgical celebrations, Celebration of the Word, Masses and feast day events

  • Supporting charitable work and Catholic Social Teaching projects

Each term, the Worship Warriors meet to reflect on how we worship as a school and to bring new ideas for how we can deepen our faith together. They help ensure that the voice of pupils is heard in our Catholic life and mission.

Our Worship Warriors shine the light of Christ in our school community, helping us all to live out our mission: "A family living, loving, learning together through the light of Christ."
