Jubilee 2025: Pilgrims of Hope

As we continue on our journey during the Jubilee Year 2025, our school is joining the global Catholic Church in a special time of renewal, celebration and hope. The theme chosen by Pope Francis for this Jubilee is “Pilgrims of Hope.”

A Jubilee Year is a sacred time, traditionally marked every 25 years, when the Church invites all people to grow closer to God through prayer, reflection and acts of love and mercy. It is a time to open our hearts, seek reconciliation, and journey together in faith.

At our school, we are embracing the Jubilee by:

• Encouraging children to see themselves as pilgrims, walking with Jesus in hope and love

• Deepening understanding of Catholic Social Teaching and how we can live as hopeful disciples today

• Taking part in special liturgies, reflections and community acts of service throughout the year

• Exploring the themes of mercy, forgiveness, joy and renewal through scripture and prayer

The Jubilee is a wonderful opportunity for our school community to grow in faith, strengthen our bonds with one another, and look to the future with Christian hope.

Together, we journey as Pilgrims of Hope, trusting in God’s love and sharing it with the world.
