Elmer

The children have been exploring the colourful story of Elmer by David McKee. Through storytelling, the children enjoyed listening to and retelling the story, discussing the characters and recalling key events. They have developed their communication and language skills by sharing their ideas, learning new vocabulary and talking about the colourful patterns they noticed. We have also explored Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED), thinking about what makes each of us special and celebrating our similarities and differences. The story has encouraged the children to understand that everyone is unique and that our differences should be celebrated. Just like Elmer, we are all special in our own way!
