Dear Parents and Carers
During your child’s time away from school please take the opportunity to continue to help develop their learning.
Here are some ideas to help support learning at home:
Top marks is a great interactive website, some useful games for year 2. The children have also been given tasks on Mathletics and Purple Mash.
YouTube have a lots of online storybooks. BBC have lots of education activities as well as shows on Iplayer such as Alpha Blocks and Numberblocks.
Joe Wicks will be doing a live workout everyday at 9:00am. He also has exercise videos for children aged 5-7 on his YouTube, these are brilliant and the children are used to doing them in school.
Cosmic Kids is another free exercise website. There are different types of yoga, relaxation and mindfulness activities.
A learning website called Twinkl is also offering resources for home learning. Follow the link below and you can sign up for free. There is also a parents hub for support on how to utilise this website.
If you do not have a printer you can complete the answers on sheets of paper!
Include the title of the work you are completing and the question numbers. I am looking forward to see all your brilliant work!
Purple Mash Blogs
Year 2 can access a class blog using Purple Mash. These blogs currently focus on our Science topic habitats and our Geography topic continents, oceans and a focus on Africa. The children can watch videos, complete tasks and leave comments, questions or any work that they have completed on these topics. This will be a great way for the children to keep in touch with one another and myself!

Easter is the most important festival in the Christian calendar and celebrates the how Jesus rose from the dead.
Pobble 365 is a fantastic resource to help inspire your children to write! They have pictures, questions and activities that your children can complete at home. Make sure to send pictures of your stories so that we can upload them to the website for your friends to see!
