Jack Loftus Fundraising
Dear Parents/Carers,
As many of you are aware a former pupil of Holy Cross Catholic Primary School, Jack Loftus, sadly lost his battle against cancer on the 18th March 2020. He faced his illness with a courage beyond his years that left many adults in awe of his bravery.
My abiding memory of Jack is his wonderful smile that would light up any room, his commitment to learning and achieving his very best in everything he did. Jack was a wonderful boy, gifted in so many ways. He was a role model to his peers and the younger pupils in school. Jack had many friends and enjoyed nothing more than a game of football at lunchtime.
Jack left Holy Cross and attended Woodchurch High School; teachers from Woodchurch along with his Dad and some friends are aiming to complete the Coast-to-coast cycle ride which will be approx. 180 miles and will start off in Morecambe on 28 August 2020 and will conclude in Bridlington on 31 August 2020. The bike ride will be in memory of Jack and to raise funds for wards 3B and 4A at Alderhey where Jack was cared for by teams of committed NHS Staff.
